Distorted Realities is the product of a year-long investigation of spatial experience and perception. This series showcases several large scale drawings, which depict labyrinthine spaces spawned from banal architectural structures. The visually perplexed and paradoxical constructions parallel the evocative nature of the finger-made marks and textures. The chaotic qualities of these edificial drawings are formed through the layering and fracturing of architectural fundamentals, which reverberate amongst each other and invite the viewer into an unfathomable environment. The illusionistic compositions coincide with grimy and cacophonous textures are formed through the stratification of smeared charcoal, paint, and washes.
